They made it in DR Congo

Last Monday, M23 rebel forces took the city of Goma in eastern DR Congo. The fighting has been intense. Hundreds of thousands have fled. Many have been killed, including 13 peacekeeping soldiers. As the Danish broadcaster DR wrote on Monday, the conflict has reached new heights.
All week, we have been very nervous for our friends and colleagues at Virunga Origins. But we have now received word from them: There are still Virunga employees trapped in Goma, but they have made contact. The fighting has stopped!
And as a small miracle, the chocolate factory itself is largely unaffected. It is located further north on the outskirts of Virunga National Park.
These were very good news after a week of great uncertainty.
However, they report that logistics are extremely difficult because the entire area has been occupied by the rebel forces. But they really want to try and send us a new order!
It is so impressive that they continue to work hard in the midst of war and chaos. They are indomitable.
I hope you will support them.
They are fantastic products. Five unique vegan chocolates. Organic Arabica coffee and coffee capsules that are also compostable. Top-quality organic chia seeds and vanilla beans.
