Ebola in DR Congo

We have a small amount left of our vanilla beans and white chocolate from the DR Congo, for which the "best before" date is approaching. The quality remains intact.
We are selling them at half price.
This comes against a sad backdrop. It is not certain that we will be able to get them again!
The company Virunga Origins is located adjacent to Virunga National Park in the eastern DR Congo. It is an area that is extremely hard-hit:
By war and conflict, with over 100 armed groups ravaging the area.
By extreme poverty and over 2 million refugees.
By a very weak state plagued by deep corruption.
And now by Ebola, which has broken out in the area just north of the national park.
There is likely no more difficult place in the world to run a business right now. But they have managed time and time again. Even when they briefly had to flee the factory when the rebel movement M23 occupied the area.
We have been a large and stable customer for Virunga for the last few years, and we intend to continue. We have sent a new large order. But right now, they cannot deliver. So we do not know if we will be able to get chocolate and vanilla again.
We hope they make it through in Virunga.
Thank you for shopping for peace.
Best regards,
the warfair team
