Ja'aidi coffee (Lot RM) has a very high cupping score of 90.75 and a flavor profile with notes of hazelnut, pomegranate, grape, and flowers. Clean and full-bodied with low acidity.
It is of the Ja'adi variety and grows at an altitude of 1800-2000 meters in the East-Haraz region of Yemen. It is processed naturally by sun-drying on coffee beds, hulling, and careful manual sorting. The coffee is from the company Mocha Mountains and is imported in collaboration with Yemen Journey.
Yemen was the first country in the world to export coffee from the port city of Mocha in the 17th century and produces some of the most exquisite and sought-after coffees in the world. These are natural coffees grown in microlots, where each local variety and field is kept separate. The coffee trees grow in the high, dry, sun-drenched desert mountains in ravines and on terraces where the scarce water collects. No artificial fertilizers or pesticides are used.
The coffee is supplied as 200 g whole beans, omni-roasted using gentle and customized roast profiles by Coffee Friends, so the coffee can be used for both filter and espresso. Stored until delivery in refrigeration at 6 degrees Celsius.
