- In stock, ready to ship
In Ukraine, this tea is known as "Railway Tea," as it is the tea served on Ukrainian trains, including the night train that foreign guests, politicians, and heads of state take when traveling to Kyiv.
The organic Carpathian herbal tea has a mild minty freshness, rounded off by light notes of lemon and the sweetness of chamomile. It is made from fireweed leaves blended with dried mint, lemon balm, and chamomile.
The leaves are hand-harvested on the sunny slopes of the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains and gently rolled, fermented, and dried to preserve their natural aromas and antioxidants. Perfect for a quiet moment, natural and caffeine-free. A taste of nature's balance and Ukrainian cultural history.
Tea based on the fireweed plant is also known as Siberian tea and has been used since as far back as the 12th century. In folklore, the tea has been described as calming and used to treat rheumatism and digestive issues.
The tea is produced by Mol’far Eco Ltd., which was founded by entrepreneur Yevhenii Honcharenko, who has also been a soldier in the Ukrainian army since the spring of 2022. The company is located near Pylypets in the Carpathians, has seven employees, and produces natural, organic tea from herbs gathered in the mountains by 30 local collectors.
